Spring Energized C-Ring Metal Sealing Solution for Medical Equipment
In this case study, we showcase Sonkit's advanced metal sealing solution for medical equipment, designed to address the
unique challenges of sealing critical components in demanding environments. Our solution achieved an impressive leakage
rate of 10E-10 Pa m³/s under ultra-high vacuum testing, surpassing industry standards for ultra-low leakage.
Sonkit developed a spring-energized metal C-ring made from aluminum alloy with a racetrack shape, which provides
reliable compression and deformation with minimal bolt tightening force. This seal ensures excellent performance in
extreme conditions, including temperatures ranging from -270°C to 15°C and pressures from high vacuum to atmospheric
pressure.
The seal's design also makes it highly resistant to corrosion, capable of withstanding exposure to corrosive chemicals,
and ensures high purity with zero outgassing during long-term operation. The spring-energized feature compensates for
material wear and thermal expansion, ensuring consistent performance over time.
